Bridget & Joseph | Finger Lakes Wedding
Bridget and Joseph are the kind of people you instantly feel comfortable around. Their personalities are incredibly lovable, easygoing, genuine, and kind—and the love they share for one another is truly authentic and contagious. Photographing them was nothing short of a dream. Their wedding day began with a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary's Church, where family and friends gathered to witness the start of their next chapter together. After the ceremony, we made a fun and spontaneous stop at Swaby's Tavern for a quick celebratory drink before heading to their family’s lakeside property in the Finger Lakes. Bordered by towering evergreens and peaceful waterfront views, the setting felt like something straight out of a magazine. It was the perfect backdrop for some truly stunning portraits that captured the joy and calmness of the day.
One of the most memorable moments of the evening was a surprise dance between Bridget and her mom to the song Rainbow Connection. Their relationship is incredibly sweet—more like best friends than anything else—and there truly wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The rest of the evening unfolded just as joyfully, with plenty of dancing, cake, and even late-night pizza to keep everyone energized. To top it all off, the night ended with a beautiful fireworks display lighting up the sky over the lake. It was such a pleasure documenting this day for Bridget and Joseph, and I truly hope this is just the first of many sessions I’ll have the joy of photographing for them in the years to come.
